DIAGNOSTIC - Audition Technique

Class Description:
The Diagnostic Lab is an opportunity for a private 15 minute meeting with the instructor of your choice.

Get one-on-one feedback! Each lab will be limited to six students, 15 minutes for each member. You will be able to choose from eight different instructors this weekend.

Come prepared for your 15 minutes. Bring an audition, a monologue, your headshot, demo and/or marketing questions. The more specific you are, the more you can get out of your time.

Remember: Know your chosen teacher’s area of expertise. If you are signed up for a private session with an instructor who teaches standup comedy, don’t bring in a dramatic monologue!

This is not a substitute for the instructor’s scheduled workshop, but you don’t have to attend their class in order to sign up for the diagnostic.

Agency Relations 101

Class Description:
The Professional Representatives (“Prof Reps”) Department Staff Director will be on hand to answer any questions that you may have regarding your relationship with talent agents affiliated with SAG-AFTRA.  This department interprets and enforces SAG-AFTRA’s Rule 16(g) Agency Regulations and Contracts, along with Rule 12-C Agency Regulations and Contracts, as well as the SAG-AFTRA Personal Managers Code of Ethics and Conduct. The Prof Reps team provides assistance on talent agency contract review, dispute resolution, and general guidance on any agency/management-related matters, including providing assistance in mediating/arbitrating agency-related claims. This is your chance to become fully informed and gain a working knowledge of your relationship with your talent agent and/or manager. Your professional future and your income may depend on it!

Improv is not just about being funny, it's about being creative and trusting your instincts. This is why improvisational acting works for both comedy and drama. Learn to have the heightened awareness needed to be able to create in the moment. Through improvisation techniques, actors will discover how to access and listen to their creative voice. This workshop focuses on the practical application of improvisation as it relates to auditioning and being a more creative actor. Everyone will get stage time. Practicing The Power of Presence In Voice And Movement
