The Chicago Acting in Film Meetup nonprofit had its annual Holiday Hurrah fundraiser this year on Dec. 9 at Carbon Arc Bar & Board in Chicago. There was plenty of food and drink and plenty of merriment to go around. Raffle winners received a variety of prizes, from private coaching to acting classes. The event also included a silent auction to win 10 minutes with top Chicago casting directors and on-camera and voiceover agents.
Founded in 2007, the Chicago Acting in Film Meetup has more than 70 working actors who co-mentor each other. A recognized 501(c)(3) organization, the group holds private monthly events to educate and empower on-camera actors. However, its December fundraiser and networking party is open to the entire Chicago production community. For more information, click here.
