Term | Definition |
---|---|
Authorizer | An advertiser or advertising agency that is legally bound to the Commercials Contract through its association with the Joint Policy Committee (JPC). Authorizers are recognized by the union as the employer of the project. |
Covered Services | Work, such as video and voiceover, that is specifically covered by a SAG-AFTRA contract. |
Influencer | In the advertising industry, refers generally to an individual engaged to create Influencer-produced sponsored content and who creates and appears in Influencer-produced sponsored content. |
Influencer-Produced Sponsored Content | Content self-produced by an Influencer that features an advertiser’s product or service and that is created for digital distribution on the Influencer’s and/or advertiser’s own social media and/or YouTube channel(s). |
Joint Policy Committee (JPC) | Joint Policy Committee (JPC) is the official bargaining partner for the SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contracts. |
Jurisdictional Work | On-camera and/or voiceover content covered by a SAG-AFTRA contract. |
Non-Covered Services | Any content that SAG-AFTRA does not cover (e.g., print, editing, creative, set design, distribution). |
Pension & Health (P&H) | Pension - retirement income Health - health insurance The Pension & Health Plans collect employer contributions and provide both retirement benefits and health insurance to individuals who qualify. To learn more about P&H, visit sagaftraplans.org. |
Producer | Company that is legally bound to a SAG-AFTRA agreement/contract. Under the Influencer Agreement, a “Producer” refers to the Influencer’s business or corporate entity (i.e., LLC, corporation) that is bound to the Agreement terms. Under the Influencer Waiver, it is the signatory/authorizer that is bound to the Commercials Contract. |
Signatory | An advertiser or advertising agency that is directly signed to the SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contracts and is recognized by the union as the employer of the project. |
Standard Allocation | The percentage of your compensation that is subject to Pension & Health contributions. |
