Workers in 100 CVS stores in Southern California decided to join United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) Local 770 to ensure a better workplace for themselves. For many years, pharmacists in other CVS stores across the nation were union members; however, there were several CVS stores where employees remained nonunion.

Through the successful Cure CVS campaign, workers rallied to change the chain’s business practices. Employees were provided the opportunity to learn how UFCW could make a difference in their lives and become UFCW members.

UFCW represents primarily grocery, retail, meat-packing and food-processing workers. For more information about UFCW, click here.
