ABC Casting Department is Now Accepting Submissions for ABC Discovers: Talent Showcase – New York, Deadline June 3
As part of its ongoing effort to discover and develop diverse talent and actors with disabilities, the ABC Casting Department will hold auditions for consideration for the 38th ABC Discovers: Talent Showcase.
Selected participants perform in a one night showcase for casting directors, talent agents, managers and other industry professionals.
In addition, the selected showcase actors are awarded a one year mentorship with executives from the NY Casting Department. As part of the mentorship, the showcase actors will be offered on-camera workshops specifically for them to further hone their craft and auditioning skills. Talent will also have access to various ABC and ABC Studios executives.
Former participants include Academy Award Winner Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Golden Globe Winner Gina Rodriguez (Jane The Virgin), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther; 42; Get on Up), Randall Park (Fresh Off The Boat), Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy), Carrie Ann Inaba (Dancing with the Stars), Chrissie Fit (Pitch Perfect 2; Teen Beach Movie franchise), Dania Ramirez (Devious Maids), Jorge Garcia (Hawaii 5-0; Lost), Laz Alonso and Janina Gavankar (The Mysteries of Laura), Ali Stroker (Broadway’s Spring Awakening; The Glee Project) and Kelly Jenrette (Grandfathered).
Submissions must be received via the email address below no later than Friday, June 3, 2016.

- Only one submission will be accepted. Do not double submit if already submitted through another union or other entities.
- Submissions will not be accepted after the submission period.
- No phone calls to ABC please.
Participants for the talent showcase must be at least 18 years old. Previous acting experience/training is required of all, but professional representation is not necessary.
ABC will contact selected actors to schedule an audition. All finalists will be required to sign paperwork agreeing to grant ABC an option to enter into a talent hold agreement in connection with their participation in the showcase.
