Pennsylvania’s Film Tax Credit Program is critical to attracting film and television production to our region. Without it the chance of any productions coming to our region is significantly diminished.

Our elected representatives are, at this very moment, debating Pennsylvania’s budget and they need to hear from us right now!

PHONE SCRIPT:

Hi, this is (your name) calling from (your town) and I wanted to speak to the senator/representative in support of Pennsylvania’s Film Tax Credit Program.

I am a working actor who lives in your district and the film tax credit program directly impacts my ability to work.

There is a lot of research that shows that the film tax credit program pays for itself and is a driver of economic development across the Commonwealth.

It’s not just actors like me – it’s the caterers, the carpenters, the people who work on the sets, the hotels and restaurants, the drivers; all kinds of people and local businesses benefit. The money that we bring into our state when we attract films and television programs directly and indirectly supports thousands of jobs across many industries.

I hope you will continue to vote in favor of Pennsylvania’s Film Tax Credit Program.

Personally, I think the program should be expanded or even uncapped – but at least during this budget session, I hope you will support it at its current level.

Thank you for your consideration.
