The SAG-AFTRA President’s Task Force on Education, Outreach & Engagement broadcast the AI Goes to Hollywood panel on Feb. 7. Featured speakers included SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, Flawless Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Scott Mann, MARZ VFX Chief Operations Officer and partner Matt Panousis, Creative Artists Agency Chief Metaverse Officer Joanna Popper and generative AI author Nina Schick. Moderating the panel was former editor of The Hollywood Reporter and Puck co-founder Matthew Belloni.
The panelists discussed generative AI’s influence on the industry and shared their forecasts. Also discussed were issues that directly affect performers, including ownership, copyright and intellectual property concerns.
AI Goes to Hollywood took place on Jan. 5 as part of Future Shock: The Tech & Trends Changing Entertainment, a series of in-person panels that was part of CES 2023’s C Space Studio programming. CES is owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association and is considered the world's most influential tech event among leading manufacturers, developers and suppliers.
