Sanaa Sayyed is SAG-AFTRA Chicago’s newest staff member. Sayyed is the business representative in the TV/Theatrical Department, working with Kathy Byrne.
Sayyed comes to SAG-AFTRA with years of experience in the world of Chicago’s TV/Theatrical community. She was a talent agent at Shirley Hamilton Talent, then a casting associate with Simon Casting and director of youth education at Vagabond School of the Arts.
“I am thrilled to continue working with actors in this new venture, and seeing many familiar faces out on set,” Sayyed said.
Sayyed will be responsible for the Student Film Agreement and set visits to the many TV and film projects in Chicago. She will also be doing outreach to schools in the 13-state area that the TV/Theatrical Department covers.
“Having Sanaa on staff will just add to the myriad programs and initiatives that already come out of the TV/Theatrical Department,” Local Executive Director Eric Chaudron said. “We are excited to see what Sanaa brings to the table.”
When Sayyed is not hard at work learning new contracts, in her spare time she enjoys hosting movie nights (preferably starring Chicago actors).
