Arohi Pathak has joined the AFL-CIO Tech Institute as deputy director; she works to leverage federal investments in technology and manufacturing to create quality jobs, uphold labor standards and strengthen the workforce for all working Americans. Arohi has a background in labor, having worked for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) on building quality jobs and fostering family economic security for public sector workers. Most recently, Arohi was at the Center for American Progress as director of anti-poverty policies, and has two decades of experience in federal and state economic policies that support low-income and working Americans. Arohi honed her grassroots organizing and economic policy expertise at Prosperity Now, Voices for America’s Children and People for the American Way foundation. She has a master’s degree in international communications from American University.
