AAPI in Audio Drama
When: 3-6 PT/5-6 CT/6-7 ET, Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022
Where: Livestreamed on Twitch and Facebook Live
More about the panel:
What is an audio drama? It’s a format that’s been used to tell stories since the 1920s. This audio-only medium has once again resurfaced onto mainstream media with the world hungry to consume new stories. Even Hollywood is taking notice with Netflix’s adapted series, Archive 81, and Hulu’s original series, Only Murders in the Building. While this boom is still trending, what can AAPI do to support and encourage our own stories to be told and what is it like to create an audio drama? Tune in on August 11, 2022 to hear these answers from professional creators in the industry.
Panelists include Emily Woo Zeller (SAG-AFTRA member, Audie Award winning audiobook narrator), Motzie Dapul (Writer, Artist, Animator), Nina Ki (Playwright) and Roshan Singh (Writer/Producer) and moderated by Angela Yih (Realm Media Production Coordinator). Panel subject to change.
