Get Involved
If you are interested in working to serve your union, there are many ways to do that. We have several committees that are always looking for members. In addition, we have special events and nominating committees that need your involvement.
With Georgia being a right-to-work state, it’s essential that we stay visibly active in our market in order to maximize union work opportunities. This requires that we all get active and working with SAG-AFTRA in a visible leadership role is an important way to do it.
If any of the above topics interest you or if you have an idea for something that you think would benefit members, please contact the Atlanta Local office at (404) 239-0131. Melissa and Alison will forward your name to the appropriate committee chairs.

The committee aims to improve the experience through creating a positive and inclusive environment for Atlanta Local members. They organize events and networking opportunities to help members connect with one another and stay informed about important union-related news and developments. The committee's goal is to foster a sense of community among members, encourage participation in union events and initiatives, and ensure that members feel heard and valued. They use social media, email newsletters, and in-person events to build stronger relationships between members and the union and to empower members to take an active role in shaping the future of the industry.
