We Need Your Help to Support the Maryland Film Tax Credit Program
The 2020 Maryland Legislative session has started! The Maryland Film Industry Coalition has put in a bill, sponsored by Senators Griffith, Elfreth, Ellis, and Kagan, that seeks to increase the annual amount available for film/TV tax credits (SB718) in FY21 to $20M. We need your help and support on this important legislation!
Here’s what you can do to help:
1. Mark your calendar to attend the hearing on Wednesday, February 19 at 1 p.m. in the Miller State Office Building, 3 West Wing - Budget and Taxation Committee Hearing Room, 11 Bladen Street, Annapolis, MD. We need to show a large presence at this hearing! It is important to pack the hearing room to show support.

2. Marylanders, please email or call the Chair and the other members of the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee to let them know that you support SB718. Tell them who you are, what you do, and why the film industry is important to you and your livelihood. Also, be sure to thank them for their continued support of the film industry!
