Call to Action! Regarding House Bill HF 1975 and Senate Bill SF 1986

For the first time in over a decade, there is a viable 25% tax credit film production incentive proposal in front of the Minnesota House and Senate Tax Committees. If included in the Omnibus Tax Bill, Minnesota would again attract mid to large film and TV productions and potentially generate hundreds of millions in economic activity for the state over the next decade.

Best of all, because it is not a rebate, it does not require a budget appropriation.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Make your voice heard! We may not get this opportunity again. Ask that proposals HF 1975 and SF 1986 be included in the Omnibus Tax Bill going before the legislature this session. HF 1975 was authored by Rep Dave Lislegard and co-authored by Rep Greg Davids and Rep Cheryl Youakim who are also members of the House Tax Committee. Be sure to thank them in your calls, emails and social media messages.
