Dear Massachusetts member,

As you know, Governor Charlie Baker has filed a bill (H.62) to eliminate the state’s film tax incentive.

The Legislature is holding a hearing on this bill on Tuesday, March 31.  Your state Legislators need to hear from you NOW before debate on this bill begins.

Please ACT TODAY!  Simply click (or paste) the link below to email your state senator and representative, and ask them to support the Massachusetts families that depend on the film tax incentive. Urge them to oppose the governor’s plan, House Bill 62. Even if you have already contacted your state legislator, you should still send them this email as well: https://www.votervoice.net/MPC/campaigns/39604/respond.

If you’d like, you may also edit the email to your state senator and state representative, giving them personal details on how the repeal of the state's film tax incentive would impact you directly.

More information on the fight to save film jobs will be shared at the Annual Membership Meeting on March 29, 2015.

SAG-AFTRA is a union that has among its members a diverse group of performers, broadcasters and newscasters. Opposition of this bill should not be interpreted as a personal statement of opinion by or of any specific member of the union.
