During the 2024 Virginia legislative session, two film tax incentive bills were introduced to increase the funding to the program. These two bills were tabled until the 2025 session, but they are now being discussed and studied in Virginia’s Joint Subcommittee to Evaluate Tax Preference (JSETP), which will make recommendations on the film tax incentive initiatives.
In light of the current legislative break and the JSETP sessions, it is important to remind your legislators of your support for film incentive legislation and to encourage their support, too. Take a moment now to contact your elected representatives to share your support for the film tax incentives in Virginia.

- Find the contact information for your Senators and Delegates by visiting: https://whosmy.virginiageneralassembly.gov.
- Reach out to your legislators:
- Identify yourself as a Virginia resident.
- Share that you work in the television and film industry.
- Tell them you support a healthy, consistent film incentive program in Virginia.
- Explain why this film incentive matters to you — make it personal!
- Encourage others to reach out to their elected officials too!
