Synopsis: A couple experiences air turbulence on a flight home from Thanksgiving. As they make their way from SFO, something is amiss. It's too quiet. Are people actively ignoring them? They arrive home to find their beloved neighbor, Aaron, dead on his kitchen floor. Traumatized and grieving their loss, they resolve to attend his funeral despite having no connections to Aaron's family. After the funeral, things remain strange. They try to go about their lives, but they see Aaron everywhere. Or they seem to, as his visage changes into everyday people they come into contact with. They decide to re-visit his grave in a final attempt to figure it out.

Seeking performers able to read the following roles:

  • NARRATOR - any age, any gender.
  • HE - LEAD, male, 30s to 50s. Laid-back, pensive, emotionally stable, borderline intellectual guy. Maker of bad jokes. Self-reliant and good at being alone but might be starting to crack. A little melancholy, perhaps, but not openly sad. A lost soul.
  • SHE - LEAD, female 30s to 50s. Attractive, sensitive person who cares about others. She feels things deeply, but her feelings are under the surface — not on her sleeve. She's strong enough but might be hitting her limits. Her defense mechanism in response to rudeness and unkind behavior is borderline rage. Another lost soul.
  • AARON/UNCLE BABE - SUPPORTING, elderly, 80s+. Kind, magnetic, funny, and wise. A spiritual guide you want to follow. He can be scolding or even a little frightening, but above all he's joyful and self-assured.
  • WALTER - SUPPORTING, 30s to 50s. Nephew of Aaron/Uncle Babe. A busy professional with a telephone perpetually on his ear. He deals with trauma in a matter-of-fact way. Not emotionally demonstrative, but he dutifully cares for his family.
  • RABBI - SUPPORTING, any age, any gender, perhaps female. A clear-spoken, articulate yet comforting presence in the temple. An air of gentle authority, and unsentimental empathy.
  • RADIO ANNOUNCER - SUPPORTING, any age, any gender. A classic news radio voice.

Submission Instructions: Please submit directly to the filmmakers' contact email at peterkowen@live.com. The deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, March 21.
