Women in Film Dallas recently wrapped their 21st annual TOPAZ Film Festival. The festival ran from October 20th - 30th and included both an online platform and in-person events. We’re immensely proud of our member-leader extraordinaire, Nikki Dixon, who acted as MC for the in-person events and volunteered as a juror, watching more than 17 hours of short films highlighted at the festival.
The Dallas-Fort Worth Local of SAG-AFTRA was proud to sponsor this 100% volunteer-led event which raises money for Women in Film Dallas grants and scholarship programs. For 21 years, the festival has promoted the work of independent women filmmakers and brought together members of our community from around the world.
Films were eligible if women were in two or more key positions in the making of the films and the festival presented 85 short and feature films over 10 days. SAG-AFTRA DFW would like to applaud all the award winners, participants, and amazing volunteers who helped to make this festival a great success. We’re already looking forward to next year.
