“Our mission is to provide quality training and professional development of our membership by seeking out qualified teachers and working industry professionals to facilitate the sharing of their knowledge with our members.”
— Mission statement of the SAG-AFTRA Hawaii Local Conservatory Committee

On July 26, the Conservatory Committee of the Hawaii Local provided members with an opportunity to develop skills through a workshop titled Specific Techniques for Acting On-Camera. Hawaii Local Conservatory Committee Chair Scott Rogers led the workshop, providing attendees with exercises to develop improvisation, on-camera practice opportunities and beneficial insights into what will work auditioning and on set.

Throughout the year, the Conservatory Committee makes possible several workshops and class opportunities at low cost to SAG-AFTRA members. The caliber of industry professionals that have been teaching in these sessions allows for actors to receive quality training on a routine basis. Look out for and sign up for the next Hawaii Local Conservatory class.
