Whether you are an active or first-time philanthropist, deciding where to place your next donation can be challenging. If you are interested in supporting organizations that support us, we recommend checking out the Motion Picture & Television Fund, the Entertainment Community Fund, and the SAG-AFTRA Foundation to help us continue creating an environment that fosters community and resources for the arts. Let’s take a moment to break down the different ways to donate to the Motion Picture & Television Fund, the Entertainment Community Fund and the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.

Donating to the Motion Picture & Television Fund

Donating to the Motion Picture & Television Fund supports working and retired members of the entertainment community with a safety net of health and social services, including temporary financial assistance, case management and residential living.

To donate directly to the Motion Picture & Television Fund, click here , complete the donation form and submit. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law.

Donating to the Entertainment Community Fund

Donating to the Entertainment Community Fund, formerly known as The Actor’s Fund, will support programs that foster stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lives.

To donate directly to the Entertainment Community Fund, visit the Entertainment Community Fund and click the purple Donate button at the top right. Complete the donation form and submit. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law.

Donating to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation

Donating to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation can be done directly on its website by anyone or made through a residuals donation exclusively by SAG-AFTRA members. Donations to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation provide vital assistance and educational programming to the professionals of SAG-AFTRA while serving the public at large through its signature children’s literacy program Storyline Online. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law.

To donate directly to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, visit the donation page, complete the donation form and submit.

To donate residuals to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, a living performer has the option of donating in one of three ways:

1. Direct deposit your small-dollar residuals to the Foundation. With direct deposit, you can set a threshold to donate residuals below a certain amount. These residuals will automatically go to the Foundation as a tax-deductible donation; any residual amounts you receive over the threshold will be securely deposited into your personal bank account. To donate residuals, you will need to be signed up for SAG-AFTRA direct deposit.

2. Mail your residuals checks to the Foundation. Please note that checks must be current and not have expired. There is no need to endorse each check. They can be sent to:

3. Deed all future residuals to the Foundation. The performer gives all of their future interest in the right to receive residuals derived from their services as a performer to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. They do this by completing a one-page Gift and Disclaimer of Interest in Performer Residuals Form to donate all future residuals. Please note, SAG-AFTRA performers are currently unable to donate a portion of their residuals. The completed and notarized form should be mailed to SAG-AFTRA:

To donate all residuals on behalf of a deceased performer, the beneficiary can download and complete the one-page Gift and Disclaimer of Interest in Performer Residuals (on behalf of Deceased Performer) Form. The completed and notarized form should be mailed to SAG-AFTRA at the same address above.

Donating Through AmazonSmile

If you are an active Amazon account user, you are able to donate to one of the three organizations above through AmazonSmile. In order to do so:
