SAG-AFTRA May 2020 dues bills are now available online at sagaftra.org/billing-portal and will be mailed to members beginning April 23. Members who can pay on time are encouraged to do so when they receive their bill to allow the critical services of the union, such as residuals processing and contract negotiation and enforcement, to continue without disruption.

Members experiencing COVID-19-related financial hardship can request and will be granted a due date extension and an installment plan. No late fees will be assessed and there will be no adverse impact on members’ work eligibility during this time. Your request for a due date extension/installment plan must be received by the union no later than June 9, 2020, by logging into your member account at sagaftra.org/billing-portal; or by calling SAG-AFTRA at (855) SAG-AFTRA / (855) 724-2387. If you receive a dues statement by mail, you can alternatively check the COVID-19 DUES RELIEF EXTENSION box on the back of the payment coupon and return by mail.

NO LATE FEES: If you are facing COVID-19-related hardship and are not able to pay your May membership dues, no late fees will be applied to your May dues.

LATE-PAYMENT INSTALLMENT PLAN: If you are facing COVID-19-related hardship and are not able to immediately pay your May membership dues, once we receive your timely request for a due date extension you may pay your 5/20 membership dues in two (2) installments.  Half of the dues payment will be required by July 1, 2020, and the remaining half by October 1, 2020. Please note that installment payments must be received no later than July 13 and October 12, respectively, to maintain good standing for the May 2020 dues period unless prior period payments are owed. No late fees will be applied to your May dues. No reminders will be mailed. Mark your calendar and pay online at sagaftra.org/billing-portal or by phone at (866) 855-5191 (have your membership number ready).

NO EFFECT ON CAST CLEARANCE: If you are facing COVID-19-related hardship, unable to pay what’s due on your account and you make a timely request for a due date extension, there will be no adverse impact on your work eligibility until the November dues period.

TERMINATIONS TEMPORARILY HALTED: For members on the verge of termination due to non-payment, terminations for non-payment have been halted until after the November dues period.

THINKING OF RUNNING FOR SAG-AFTRA OFFICE? In order to meet the May dues period good-standing eligibility requirement to be nominated for election as a national officer, national board member or local board member, members should ensure that their May 2020 dues bill payment is received by SAG-AFTRA no later than June 9, 2020 or make a request for the COVID-19 Dues Relief Extension no later than June 9, 2020 and make all payments in compliance with the program (first installment payment with the July 1 due date must be received on or before July 13 and second payment with the October 1 due date must be received on or before Oct 12). If your May dues payment is not received by June 9, 2020 and you have not made a timely request for a due date extension or your payments are not in compliance with the COVID-19 Dues Relief Extension program, your eligibility to run for office will be affected. Failure to pay dues in accordance with the COVID-19 Dues Relief Extension may also affect your ability to vote, nominate and participate in referenda. For questions regarding eligibility, please contact SAG-AFTRA at (323) 549-6676.
