SAG-AFTRA is proud to be partnering with the Baltimore International Black Film Festival (BIBFF) again this year! The festival is produced by the non-profit social service organization SPGAA, Inc. Their mission is to support unity in the community and to foster education with the best in independent filmmaking while enhancing the diverse cultural landscape and economic vitality of Baltimore City. BIBFF serves a dual purpose of educating the community while providing a venue for independent films for, by and about African Americans, the African Diaspora and members of the Same Gender Loving – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (SGL-LGBT) community locally, nationally and globally. This year’s festival runs from Wednesday, Oct. 5 – Monday, Oct. 10 and SAG-AFTRA members are being offered a special members-only 20 percent discount.

Also, Washington-Mid Atlantic’s own Jess W. Speaker, III will be presenting a workshop on SAG-AFTRA’s low budget film contracts for filmmakers in attendance on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 4:30 p.m. Members are invited to attend this workshop free of charge by visiting here.
