Film Tax Incentive Success

The first season of Stephen King’s horror series Castle Rock has premiered on Hulu. Because of the success of our partnership with the Massachusetts Production Coalition and the Massachusetts film tax incentive, more than 1,000 Massachusetts residents were employed including crew, principal and background actors.

According to the MPC, the production purchased goods and services from businesses in 160 cities and towns in the Commonwealth, most notably Orange which was transformed into King’s fictional town Castle Rock, Maine.

Castle Rock is based on numerous written works by King and was the setting for the author’s novels Cujo, The Dead Zone, The Dark Half and other novellas and short stories.
