Former DFW President and National Board Member Ken Barry Dies

Dallas-Fort Worth members mourn the loss of beloved leader, Kenneth Barry, who died Sept. 18. Barry was a staunch supporter of the union in Texas throughout the 1980s. He served as president of the joint AFTRA and SAG regional boards and as national board member in both unions at the time. Leader, performer, teacher, entrepreneur, philanthropist and artist — Ken Barry was a rare man of his time.  

We extend our sympathies to his family and to his dear wife, Beverly Renquist, also a member of SAG-AFTRA. A celebration of his life is planned post COVID-19. Donations can be made in Barry's honor to The Actors Fund, The Stewpot or a charity of your choice.
