After years of your hard work, today Gov. Charlie Baker signed the fiscal year 2022 budget into law, making the film, television and streaming incentive permanent!

We applaud the governor’s decision to sign the 2022 state budget as unanimously passed by the House and Senate. This budget makes the production tax credit permanent, ensuring that thousands of small businesses and families that depend on the growing film and television industry can continue to live and work in Massachusetts

The production tax credit has created a vibrant film industry in Massachusetts that is recognized as one of the best in the world. Massachusetts is now positioned to capture a major portion of the jobs and revenue created by the new productions planned in the post-pandemic entertainment industry.

This opens the door for further economic development for small business and increased production here in Massachusetts, which translates to more jobs for our members and all industry workers.

Thank you to all of you for your advocacy over these last years and especially the last few months. Your voices made an impact!
