The Actors Fund has asked us to send out this link to a survey regarding the future of a Health Center for the Performing Arts. The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
For the past 10 years, The Actors Fund has operated the Al Hirschfeld Free Health Clinic. Located at 57th Street and 10th Avenue, its physicians have cared for over 20,000 uninsured entertainment industry workers.
With the launch of the Affordable Care Act, The Actors Fund is considering transforming the Clinic into a Health Center for the Performing Arts in the Times Square area. It would be staffed by full-time family physicians affiliated with Columbia University, open for extended hours during the week and on weekends. It would function like a doctor’s office accepting insurance and also providing subsidized care for uninsured or underinsured performers and other entertainment industry workers.
Your answers to the survey questions will help The Actors Fund immensely in determining the feasibility and desirability of creating such a Health Center. If you are interested in participating in the survey please fill it out as soon as possible. The survey will be available through Friday, April 17.
Everyone who fills out a survey and enters an email address at the end will be eligible for a lottery with a prize of two tickets to a Broadway show.
The survey is available here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TheActorsFundHealthClinic
