SAG-AFTRA Hosts Needed for Minnesota AFL-CIO Labor Pavilion at the Minnesota State Fair
The Minnesota AFL-CIO seeks union members, especially women and people of color, for Labor Pavilion Hosts at the Minnesota State Fair on the following dates:
Friday, Aug. 22
Wednesday, Aug. 27
Friday, Aug. 29
Saturday, Aug. 30
Details:
Host shift: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
$150 stipend to cover expenses and free ticket to state fair.
All hosts are provided with T-shirts, talking points and Q&A quiz questions for prize giveaways.
This year’s theme at the Labor Pavilion is “Winning for All Workers.”

Host Duties:
- MC and introduce all musical performances and union demonstrations on the Pavilion stage.
- Directly interact with the general public for giveaways and promote upcoming musical presentations and performances on the pavilion stage.
- Interview and banter with union members staffing the various union information kiosks at the pavilion and talk about what their unions do.

Thousands of visitors come through the Minnesota AFL-CIO Labor Pavilion each year during the 12 days of the Minnesota State Fair. Minnesota’s unions provide rich and entertaining programming and information each day of the fair, from open to close, at the Minnesota AFL-CIO’s Labor Pavilion building.
