Your SAG-AFTRA Nashville local office is about to temporarily close for remodeling. The downstairs conservatory, including the writer’s room, pro-tools room and self-tape studio will also be closed during this time.
The following frequently asked questions contain key dates and information about how the business of the local will continue during this time. If you have any additional questions, please contact Richard Van Syckle at richard.vansykle@sagaftra.org.
Nashville Local Remodel FAQ:
What are the local and conservatory closure dates? Monday, Nov. 5, 2018 – Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019.
Will I still be able to speak with staff if I have questions? Yes. Continue to call the same main office number: (615) 327-2944. Calls will be directed to a menu where you can reach the appropriate staff member based on the nature of your inquiry.
What about email? Staff will be equipped to work from home within regular office hours (9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday - Friday). Emails to individual staff or the general inquiry address of nashville@sagaftra.org will still reach staff person who will respond as soon as possible.
What if I have a problem on set? Contact us the same way you normally would; calls and emails will still go through. If you have an emergency or safety issue on set, call the number on the back of your membership card: 1-844-SAFER-SET (1-844-723-3773).
I’m a singer and I normally drop off session reports at the office. How do I get them to you? Please mail them to:
SAG-AFTRA Nashville
1108 17th Ave. S
Nashville, TN 37212
Will we still be Christmas caroling this year? Yes! The more than 30-year tradition of SAG-AFTRA sharing holiday cheer will absolutely continue. This year we will be caroling on Tuesday, Dec. 11, and will meet in the downstairs conservatory below the office at 8 a.m. and return to the office by 3 p.m. (Note: The front parking lot will not be accessible during this time. Access the back parking lot from the alley and look for signs about where you can park.)
If I’m in the neighborhood, can I stop by and see the progress? No. This will be an active construction zone during this time and liability issues (and parking) mean only those working will have access to the building.
When can I see the new digs? Soon! We’ll be having an open house for members once we’re back and settled, so look out for future announcements.
If you have any questions about this process, feel free to contact us at (615) 327-2944 or nashville@sagaftra.org.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
