Nearly 1.5 million New Yorkers face hunger each year. You can help. Donate non-perishable food to the Daily News Food Drive. City Harvest trucks will be on the road day and night to collect the donations and distribute them to New Yorkers in need this holiday season. Join us in the fight against hunger.
Boxes have been placed in the member lounge at 1900 Broadway for SAG-AFTRA members to donate! If you are attending the Holiday Open House on Thursday, Dec. 4 we invite you to bring your non-perishable food donations with you to the celebration.
When: Our food drive will run until Monday, Dec. 22. Please drop off your donations between regular business hours, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Where: SAG-AFTRA – Member Lounge
1900 Broadway, 5th floor
(Between 63rd and 64th Streets)
Most needed items include:
- canned fruit
- canned vegetables
- peanut butter (plastic jars)
- macaroni and cheese (packaged)
- hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-sized)
Note: City Harvest cannot accept unlabeled or dented cans, any open packaging, products that need to be refrigerated, homemade foods, or expired products.
