Join SAG-AFTRA at New York City LGBT Pride March, June 24

March behind the SAG-AFTRA banner at this year’s Pride March with fellow members and allies as we stand in solidarity with and celebrate the LGBT community!

Where: YOU MUST MEET US HERE TO RECEIVE YOUR WRISTBAND GRANTING YOU ACCESS TO THE FORMATION LOCATION.

Join the SAG-AFTRA LGBT Committee, fellow members and allies on Sunday, June 24, as we march behind our SAG-AFTRA banner during the NYC Pride March! The parade starts at noon in Chelsea and will go past Stonewall, through Greenwich Village and up 5th Avenue. 

Meet us: The SAG-AFTRA group staging time is 4 p.m. In order to get your wristband before entering the staging area (a wristband is mandatory in order to enter the staging area – no exceptions), please meet us at the northeast corner of 16th and 9th in front of the barricades at 3:45 p.m. A member of our group will be distributing wristbands between 3:45 p.m. and 4:15 pm. We will not be distributing wristbands after 4:15 p.m.

T-shirts: The first 50 members of our contingent to join us inside the staging area can get a free SAG-AFTRA t-shirt! Be there early to ensure you get one!

Please note: Due to a strict headcount by the parade organizers, we need all members interested in marching with our contingent to RSVP. Please RSVP NO LATER than Friday, June 22.

Transportation & Parking: Parking options are very limited. We recommend you take public transportation to the March meeting location. Suggested MTA Subway trains include the F or L (14th Street/6th Ave); the A, C, E or L (14th Street/8th Ave), the E (23rd Street), the 1 or 2 (23rd Street), or the 3 (34th Street – Penn Station). Suggested bus routes include M12, M14A and M14D (9th Ave/w 18th St), M11 (9th Ave/20th Street), and M20 (8th Ave/20th Street). Remember to check the MTA Website for train delays or alternate service announcements before you leave!

How to Support: Remember, you do not have to attend in person to participate. You may show your support on social media outlets Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, using the hashtags #sagaftramember #nycpride particularly during the march on Sunday or during the 2018 Pride festivities.

You must RSVP to walk the parade route here by Friday, June 22. If you want to watch as a spectator, the March is free to watch throughout the day along the parade route.
