Katie Corrigan is Senior Advisor for the AFL-CIO Technology Institute, In partnership with unions, universities, and community allies, Katie develops strategies and programs to ensure workers and their unions are at the center of technology transitions and are able to leverage their power to build a future of work that includes good union jobs and equitable economies.
Previously, Katie was a deputy chief of staff at the AFL-CIO and Special Assistant to then Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler, responsible for priority programs and organizational management. She was the lead staff for President Trumka on the AFL-CIO’s Future of Work and Workers process that resulted in a set of recommendations including the creation of the Technology Institute. Katie also served as chief of staff at Families USA, co-director of a policy initiative at Georgetown Law, and senior staffer for Senator Tom Harkin on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee of the United States Senate.
