A Labor Day Message from New York Local President Mike Hodge

Labor Day is just around the corner, and as always we want to encourage you to join your union at organized labor’s annual Labor Day celebration. As has become our recent tradition, the parade will be held the Saturday following the actual Labor Day weekend, because the Labor movement understands that this is your last chance to enjoy an official three-day weekend before the end of summer.

So please join us on Saturday, Sept. 10 and be ready to step off with your fellow SAG-AFTRA members. We are forming on 44th Street Between Madison and 5th Avenues. The parade begins at 10 a.m., but to encourage you to get there early we are giving away free t-shirts on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8:45 a.m. (But once they’re gone – they’re gone.)

I am really looking forward to marching with you on the day that is set aside for all of us who work for a living.
