Yesterday the Senate Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Committee deferred HB 696 by Rep. Jack Montoucet. The committee did this at the request of Rep. Montoucet. While it does not mean that we are in the clear, it is a very large hurdle for us to cross. We will continue to be vigilant and watch for any legislation which would do harm to our industry. We would ask for you to contact senators that you reached out to before the committee meeting to thank them for their support of the industry.
We ask that you pay close attention to any legislative alerts that come out. We may need to react quickly to protect the industry from legislation that would harm us.
