After a successful 10th Anniversary show in 2013 that included an invasion from Mars, Lend Me an Ear raised more than $3,500 (or $33,000 in buying power) for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Forty-plus union members from SAG-AFTRA and AEA brought to life old radio shows from 1938, recreating the Orson Welles version of The War of the Worlds, Archibald MacLeish’s The Fall of the City, and The Chase and Sanborn Hour with Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy.
This year marks the 11th annual LMAE and the theme will include eleventh hour thrills, suspense, and laughs. The event is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the New American Shakespeare Tavern in downtown Atlanta. Details to follow, so stay tuned!
