Dear Miami Local SAG-AFTRA Members in Florida, Alabama and Puerto Rico,
By now, you’ve heard the great news that SAG-AFTRA reached an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers covering television, theatrical and new media projects. This three-year deal was approved by a super majority at the SAG-AFTRA National Board, and it’s now up to the membership to finalize the process and ratify the contract
.
I want you to know that I will be voting YES on this three-year deal — and I urge you to vote YES as well.
The $318 million value of this package is more than we have ever achieved. A major gain is the improvements in the key area of streaming platforms, including residuals. It all translates into more money in our members’ pockets.
