Come out and meet-and-greet your fellow union members and root on the softball team as they represent SAG-AFTRA in the Performing Arts Softball League. See actors run, broadcasters hit and stunt performers slide (safely).

Join Labor at the 2024 Pride Parade in Minneapolis

SAG-AFTRA Twin Cities Local members are invited to join the Minnesota AFL-CIO and all your sisters and brothers in Labor in this year’s Pride Parade in Downtown Minneapolis. We are putting together a crew to march and want YOU to be part of it.

 

When: Sunday, June 30, 11 AM

Where: 111 Washington Ave S, Minneapolis

 

The exact location of where we will gather is TBD but updates will be sent to everyone who RSVPs.

 

Come help us add SAG-AFTRA black and gold to the Pride colors!

2024 NYC Pride March

Join the SAG-AFTRA LGBTQ Committee, New York Local President Ezra Knight, Executive Vice President and New York Local Vice President Linda Powell, New York Local Vice President Anthony Rapp, fellow members, and allies on Sunday, June 30, behind our SAG-AFTRA banner during the NYC Pride March! The parade steps off at noon in NYC and will begin at 25th street and 5th Ave. Due to a strict headcount by the parade organizers, all members interested in joining the SAG-AFTRA contingent must register by filling out the RSVP form below. Members can bring up to one guest (see the RSVP instructions below to add a guest to your reservation). Further information on when and where to meet will be emailed to you along with instructions. Complimentary SAG-AFTRA Pride T-shirts are limited and will be available for members on a first-come, first-served basis.

When: Sunday, June 30. Assembly time is 12:45 p.m. Please arrive at our meeting location in Section Area 3 (see location listed above) at 12:45 p.m. Arrival at this time is crucial, as our step-off time is at 1:30 p.m. Please allow up to 90 minutes to complete the parade route. While the event organizers strive to run on schedule, please note that the march time and step-off time are approximate, and could go past the listed times.

RSVP: Reservations are required; spaces and Pride T-shirts are limited. Please complete the form below to RSVP; you must be logged in to RSVP. The field to add a guest appears at the top of the RSVP form (above the fields to enter your first and last name). You must change the guest count to "1" in order to bring a guest.

Join your fellow members, the SAG-AFTRA Radio Players, as they present two lively examples of Old Time Radio including Gunsmoke episode, ”Chester’s Dilemma,” in which Chester is infatuated with a young woman who has a secret that can land her in jail. The show will also include a radio adaptation of Brief Encounter which brings Noel Coward’s iconic film to life as we hear what happens when a chance meeting between two married people at a New York train station launches a love affair that threatens to derail their marriages.

Come join the fun!

The museum’s galleries will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m.

The Atlanta Local Conservatory Presents Creating Self-Tape Success

The Muriel Moore/Danny Nelson SAG-AFTRA Conservatory Presents: Creating Self-Tape Success with Cecelia Specht

This workshop is for actors of every level. We will cover all aspects of the Self-Tape Audition: from clearly understanding casting's instructions, to the basic equipment and an easy home set-up, to a quick and effective script analysis, to confidently submitting your best work. We will also cover why and when it is a good idea to go into a taping service to shoot your audition, and how to best prepare for it so your reader can do their best job for you, and you can achieve booking success.

Cecelia Specht has been a professional actress for over 25 years and has taught all over the world including, the University of Melbourne, the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, and various studios here in Atlanta. For the last three years, Cecelia has been coaching and shooting self-tape auditions at Actor Taping Services and has shot thousands of self-tape auditions for actors of every level here in the Southeast.

Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

60 members will participate. There will be a wait list. If you must cancel, you must do so within 24 hours of the event so another member may participate.

Doors will close at 7:05 pm. No one will be admitted after that time out of respect for our presenter and all participants.

Also, if you are a "no-show", per Conservatory rules, you will be exempted from any events for the following month.

Feeding Your Craft: Nutrition and the Actor’s Body

Join the L.A. Local Healthcare Safety Net Committee for Feeding Your Craft: Nutrition and the Actor’s Body. This interactive event will include both a seminar with Q&A and a hands-on workshop to explore regulating blood sugar, optimal digestion, leaky gut, reading labels and when and what to eat throughout the day while working on set. 

Two nutrition experts will lead the seminar followed by an interactive snack table to put to practice what you have learned!
