The Career Center addresses a central challenge for performing arts and entertainment professionals: navigating the episodic nature of work in the industry. For many, survival work—initiated to make ends meet—ends up draining the creative professional and becoming more of a problem than a solution. This orientation will help you begin to take the necessary steps to identify meaningful work that complements your life in the entertainment business.

This group is intended for everyone who does the challenging work of caring for a loved one who is an older adult (whether a partner, spouse, parent, friend or other family). This initiative gives voice to the caregiver in a supportive, confidential and safe space, as well as looking at the importance of self-care, including mind-body exercises, community, discussion and expression for replenishment and empowerment.

Are you struggling to hold on to hope during the pandemic?  Perhaps the future seems uncertain, and the loss of normal routines and human connection have you feeling down? This six-week support group will help you foster hope, giving you greater strength and purpose to navigate these challenging times.  Hope is a quality of mind that can be consciously cultivated. 

The group will provide skills that help you tap into the hopeful part of yourself.  At the same time, we will support you to toss old baggage, face fears, and change unhelpful thinking styles that make you feel defeated.  To develop hope, we will enhance your sense of safety and support, and use creative exercises to find your personal voice and vision for the future.
