New Orleans Local TV/Theatrical Contracts W&W Meeting

The SAG-AFTRA New Orleans will conduct a local wages and working conditions (W&W) meeting in preparation for the 2023 TV/Theatrical Contracts negotiations. This is your opportunity to recommend proposed changes to these contracts. 

Proposals for this negotiation are developed through the involvement of members like you. Make your voice heard and participate in this very important process. Meetings are open to all paid-up* SAG-AFTRA members. 

What: New Orleans Local TV/Theatrical W&W Meeting via Zoom

When: Monday, Jan, 23, 6-8 p.m. CT

  • Make sure your dues are in good standing
  • Have a Zoom account that identifies you by name 
  • RSVP below (you must be logged in to see the RSVP form below)
  • Complete the Confidentiality Agreement you will be sent prior to the meeting

WHO CAN ATTEND

*W&W meetings are only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing, paid thru April 30, 2023, or in compliance with the November 2022 Dues Relief Extension. No guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome.

CAN’T ATTEND A MEETING?

If you cannot attend a W&W meeting or caucus, please make sure your voice is heard. You may submit proposal recommendations by email at tvtheatrical2023@sagaftra.org. Recommendations must be received by Friday, Jan. 27, 2023.

REQUIRED CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT
In order to participate in the wages and working conditions process, you must electronically complete the Confidentiality Agreement sent to you automatically upon your RSVP. You will only need to complete this form once for the entire W&W process.

Southwest Locals Self-Tape Member Informational Meeting

Where: via Zoom

You are invited to join a regional member informational meeting to discuss self-taped auditions for members of Arizona-Utah, Colorado, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston-Austin, New Mexico and New Orleans Locals. The National Board has recently appointed a National Self-Tape Committee to explore and consider ways to address the self-tape process. This topic has significant relevance to our actor/performer members and this is an opportunity to provide important feedback for the committee’s consideration. 

WHEN: Mon., Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. MT

The Zoom meeting will have a waiting room enabled. You must have a Zoom account that identifies you by name to be admitted from the waiting room. SAG-AFTRA national constituency groups and locals across the country will be conducting wages and working conditions (W&W) meetings in the coming weeks in preparation for the TV/Theatrical Contracts negotiations. The TV/Theatrical Contracts expire June 30, 2023. Watch your email or visit sagaftra.org/2023ww for a current meeting schedule and plan to join us. Member participation is vital to this process.

New Orleans 2022 Membership Meeting

Nov 14, 2022 - 6:30 PM to 8:15 PM CST

Where: Remote via Zoom

Join your fellow SAG-AFTRA Louisiana and Mississippi members for the 2022 New Orleans Local Virtual Membership Meeting. 

We have two special guests: Misty Talley, director/producer/editor and Greg Tarzan Davis, actor and New Orleans native. These homegrown talents will share their experiences in Louisiana and beyond as well as answer questions. 

You’ll also have an opportunity to learn and ask questions of elected New Orleans Local representatives and staff. The meeting will include updates on the following:

  • 2022 New Orleans Regional Commercials Code
  • Micro Budget Agreement

Our guest speakers kick off the meeting so please make plans to join promptly at 6:30 p.m. so you don't miss a thing!

When: 6:30 - 8:15 p.m. CT, Monday, November 14

Where: Meeting will be held by Zoom. You must have a registered Zoom account to participate.

Grab a cup of your favorite morning beverage and cozy up to your computer or mobile device for this informal gathering via Zoom. Come mingle with fellow members, discuss issues important to you, share ideas about future local activities and have some fun. While the method of meeting may be slightly different, the community feeling will be the same. SAG-AFTRA will be conducting a Wages & Working Conditions (“W&W”) meeting specifically for the Mid-sized and Small Locals in preparation for the  2022 SAG-AFTRA Corporate/Educational & Non-Broadcast (“Co/Ed Contract”) Negotiations. The Co/Ed Contract expires October 31, 2022.

Proposals for this negotiation are developed through the involvement of members like you. Make your voice heard and participate in this very important process. Meetings are open to all paid-up SAG-AFTRA members.

WHEN: Wednesday, August 31, 10 am - 1 pm PT/12 pm - 3 pm CT/1 pm - 4 pm ET

WHERE: The meeting will be held by Zoom. You must have a Zoom account that identifies you by name to participate.
