New York Local Member Orientation

Join your fellow New York Local members at a virtual member orientation. We'll be covering contracts, benefits of membership, ways to get involved, and how to make the most of your SAG-AFTRA membership.

The orientation will start at 3 p.m ET and will include time for Q&A.

This event is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing (paid through Oct. 31, 2022, or April 30, 2023 or in compliance with the November 2022 Dues Relief program.) No guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome.



Free Flu Shots for Arts and Entertainment Workers

Nov 11, 2022 - 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM EST

Where: Friedman Health Center, 729 7th Avenue, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10019

The Entertainment Community Fund and the Friedman Health Center are offering free flu shots to arts and entertainment workers! Getting the flu vaccine is easy, free, convenient, and safe. Appointments and registration are required. No walk-ins.
 
When: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27
10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28
10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10
10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11
 
This is for a standard flu shot. The ECF and the Friedman Health Center regret that they cannot offer flu shots to those who are allergic to eggs, or high dose flu shots for seniors, at this event.
 
Please reserve only one (1) slot to allow the ECF to provide flu shots to as many members of our community as possible.

2022 Buffalo AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade

Join your fellow SAG-AFTRA members at the annual Buffalo AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade.
 
T-shirts will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

All attendees of the Buffalo AFL-CIO Labor Day parade are encouraged to follow the most up-to-date COVID precautions per the New York State Department of Health, which can be found at the link below. 2022 NYC Labor Day Parade and March

Where: Assemble on East 44th Street between 5th Ave. and Vanderbilt in Manhattan. Look for the SAG-AFTRA banner

9:15 a.m. Line Up | 10 a.m. March Time

Join SAG-AFTRA New York President Ezra Knight, Vice President Linda Powell and your fellow SAG-AFTRA New York Local members at the annual New York City Labor Day Parade and March. The theme of the parade is “Workers Leading, Workers Rising.” No one shows the world how New York leads the way like our members do in front of cameras and behind microphones. March up Fifth Avenue with your union to show your pride as a #sagaftramember.
 
T-shirts will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Light refreshments will be available.
