Sorry, registrations are no longer available for Los Angeles Local 2022 Conservatory Mini-Intensive
Dec 08, 2022 - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST

Where: Online

Deadline to RSVP is Dec. 2 at noon PT.

Now that self-taping has become a normal part of a performer's audition process, join us for an online Self-Tape Mini-Intensive to empower our members to be creative, focus on the artistry and enjoy the experience from a performer's perspective while also covering the technical aspects of self-tape auditions.

10-11:30 a.m. - Universal Self-Taped Audition Tips and the L.A. Local’s Self-Tape Guideline Suggestions
Los Angeles Conservatory Committee Chairs Shaan Sharma and Kevin McCorkle, along with Vice-Chair Carrie Lynn Certa walk you through the entire process of self-taping, from audition notice to uploading and transmission of the audition to casting director or agent. They will cover taping instructions, preparation, capture, performance, editing, upload and touch upon live remote auditions, to get the best tape without unnecessary equipment or expenses.

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. - Panel: How Self-Tapes Affect Our Industry Partners
Guest panelists discuss how the business has changed and the impact of self-taped auditions on the way they do their job, the way they work, the casting workflow, their budgets, and varying impact on regions. Panelists will include members from the Directors Guild of America (DGA), Writers Guild of America (WGA), Teamsters Local 399, Casting Society of America (CSA), and Producers Guild of America (PGA).
