The SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Local Board held its last meeting of the year on Nov. 18.
The Local Board reviewed administrative and contract matters and received reports, including:
President’s Report
L.A. Local President Jodi Long gave brief remarks in regards to the current state of the industry and the impact it has had on the Los Angeles membership. She also spent a moment acknowledging members in Los Angeles who have passed away, including Quincy Jones. Long concluded her report by encouraging the board members to remember why they joined union service and to use their passion for the arts to foster the Local community.
She then welcomed Second Vice President David Jolliffe, who provided an update on the Commercials Contracts wages and working conditions process. Eleven W&W meetings were held in a hybrid format in Los Angeles at SAG-AFTRA Plaza and on Zoom. This was a time for members to bring their ideas regarding the current Commercials Contracts to staff and member leaders in preparation for negotiations in 2025.

Local has hosted or attended in 2024. Kung then spoke to the exciting programming the Local is looking forward to hosting in 2025, including the highly anticipated SAG Awards viewing party.
