We stand proudly in solidarity with all who seek racial equality and justice.
SAG-AFTRA’s Los Angeles Local Board stands proudly in support of the Black community and in solidarity with all who seek racial equality and justice. We celebrate the diversity of our membership, and we recognize those in our nation and around the world who are raising their voices in protest.
We offer our deepest condolences to the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and to all who have been victimized at the hands of a deeply flawed system. We realize that the pattern of these horrific events must be stopped.
No words are sufficient. No single sentiment nor mere call to action is enough to bind our wounds and set things right, but we start by asserting that things must change. Hope is not enough. We know that this is a time to listen. We know that this is a time to act. #BlackLivesMatter
