Lottery Open for Affordable Housing in Newark, New Jersey – Apply Today!
The Actors Fund would like to inform members about a new affordable housing opportunity in downtown Newark. The Hahnes building at 50 Halsey Street in downtown Newark has 64 affordable apartments which will become available via a housing lottery. The units are beautiful with amenities such as a dishwasher and washer/dryer in every unit. The building will have a fitness center and resident lounge; bike storage and parking are available on site for an additional fee. Whole Foods and Express Newark will also be tenants of the building with many more businesses being announced in the next few weeks.
The best way to learn more about the building and the process to apply is to visit the building’s website at www.hahneandco.com. On the website you can read more about the building, find answers to your questions on the FAQ and download an application. The application can also be picked up in person at Newark City Hall or call (973) 755-2775 and an application will be mailed to you.
Please Note: The completed application must be postmarked by Nov. 15.
