Join us as we recognize this important milestone and take a moment to thank your State Legislators!
This week marks the one year anniversary of the passing of the state budget that made the Massachusetts Film & Television Incentive program permanent. With enormous gratitude we would like to thank the State Legislature for taking action to prevent the law from expiring and coming to an agreement that protects the state's film and television industry and allows it to continue growing for many years to come. We would also like to thank Governor Baker for signing the package into law through the state budget.
Join us in celebration by taking a moment to thank your State Legislators using this simple form. It only takes a moment! It is important for lawmakers to hear from you and be reminded how significant this issue is to their constituents.
This legislative victory was the result of a long two-and-a-half- year campaign, that succeeded through an enormous consistent effort from union members and the community at large from local film workers, talent and businesses, to representatives in the communities impacted by film and television production. It was the consistent effort by each and everyone of you to show up at every juncture and tell your stories that truly made a difference! We would also like to acknowledge and thank our brothers and sisters of IATSE Local 481 and Teamsters Local 25 as well as partners FilmMA, MPA and Massachusetts Production Coalition whose consistent advocacy, resources and fellowship resulted in such a successful campaign.
Happy Anniversary!
