The following is being posted on behalf of Manhattan Plaza.
Effective July 10, 2013 requests for applications for the waiting list at Manhattan Plaza, a 1689 unit building located on West 43rd Street in Manhattan, will be accepted for studio and one bedroom apartments for those with limited income. There is a 70% preference for professional performing artists and support personnel, a 15% preference for Community Board #4 residents residing in substandard housing and a 15% preference for Community Board #4 residents who are 62 years of age or older.
Southern border: North side of West 14th St.
Eastern border: 6th Avenue, until 26th street where the border travels west and goes up 8th Avenue
Northern border: 55th street between 8th and 10th, 54th Street between 10th and 11th, 55th Street between 11th and the river, then up the West Side Highway to 59th.
APPLICANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY.
To be eligible to receive Section 8 Housing Assistance,
at the time of admission applicants may not earn more than*:
One person - $64,935 | Two persons - $74,250 | Three persons - $83,498
*Income guidelines are subject to change
Occupancy Standards: Studio – 1 to 2 persons | One Bedroom – 2 to 3 persons

Lower priority will be assigned to duplicate applications from the same household.
The waiting list will be established by LOTTERY.
