Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley revealed his budget proposal on Jan. 16, in which he proposed an increase in funding for the Film Production Employment Act $7.5 million to $25 million for fiscal year 2014. This is a very exciting prospect for our Local and we will keep you informed on how you can help propel this through the legislative process.
Projects shot entirely in Maryland in the past year have included HBO’s VEEP, which is currently shooting its second season in Baltimore, Netflix’s first original series House of Cards, which premieres on their site Feb. 1, and the upcoming film Ping Pong Summer.
