The Massachusetts film community gathered on Sept. 19 in Boston to recognize and honor Massachusetts Film Office Director Lisa Strout on her retirement, after serving the state for over 11 years. During her tenure, Strout oversaw the production industry’s tremendous expansion and worked to bring nearly 300 film, television and streaming productions to the commonwealth.

The Massachusetts Production Coalition, which hosted the event, said, “The industry we enjoy today in Massachusetts would not be possible without Lisa’s stewardship and prolific work.”
