BBH Hypocrites

Hypocrite: Bartle Bogle Hegarty Worldwide Chief Creative Officer Pelle Sjoenell says empathy is the key to good advertising, but does his agency have any for the actors they hire?

Hypocrite: Bartle Bogle Hegarty Los Angeles CEO Frances Great SAYS everyone should follow the Golden Rule, but her agency DENIES actors the contractual right to a living wage, healthcare and workplace protections.

Hypocrite: Bartle Bogle Hegarty Global Chief Experience Officer Neil Miller SAYS brands should invest care into their ads, but when it comes to the work, his agency, BBH, Inc., doesn’t CARE about accessing the best acting talent.

Hypocrite: Founding partner, Sir Nigel Bogle, says that great work cannot be done without great people but his company doesn't compensate actors fairly.

Hypocrite: Bartle Bogle Hegarty Global CEO Neil Munn SAYS he prizes creativity but his ad agency BBH turns its back on actors.

Hypocrite: Bartle Bogle Hegarty LA Strategy Chief Agathe Guerrier says people should come before profits, but she doesn’t recognize the actors who bring BBH ads to life are people and refuses to pay them fairly.

Hypocrite: After making millions from ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Inc., founder Sir John Hegarty complains about the “lack of morality” in business, but not about the morality of BBH refusing to pay actors fairly.

Hypocrite: Bartle Bogle Hegarty Global Chief Strategy Officer and NY Chair Sarah Watson helps steer Times Up Advertising and says the right thing about fairness and justice but her actions tell a different story. BBH has abandoned actors depriving them of union guarantees of safety and healthcare.

Rally at La Brea Tar Pits on Jan. 23

Nearly 1,000 SAG-AFTRA members and allies marched and rallied on Wednesday, January 23 at the La Brea Tar Pits’ Great Lawn to #StrikeBBH.

Members hike to the Hollywood Sign on Oct. 26

After such a successful picket in Los Angeles in which nearly 1,000 performers amassed against BBH, members wanted to really drive the point home. On October 26, a group of SAG-AFTRA members hiked up to one of the most iconic symbols within the entertainment industry, the Hollywood Sign, in order to relay the message to BBH that Hollywood stands united and committed to #StrikeBBH

Picket held at the BBH L.A. offices on Sept. 27

Nearly 1,000 SAG-AFTRA members picketed the L.A. offices of ad agency BBH on Sept. 27. The union called a strike against BBH after it tried to illegally abandon its union contract and obligations to provide working actors with fair wages, safe sets and health benefits.
