Members Celebrate the Holidays

Holiday cheer filled SAG-AFTRA’s Los Angeles headquarters as members came together to celebrate the Annual Winter Celebration on Dec. 9. Organized by the L.A. Host Committee, the celebration proved to be the largest ever for the L.A. Local, with close to 1,200 members in attendance. As they were ushered in, members were welcomed to the holiday celebration with a personal greeting from SAG-AFTRA National Secretary-Treasurer and L.A. Local President Jane Austin and SAG-AFTRA L.A. Local First Vice President and National Board member Esai Morales. L.A. Host Committee Chair Vivicca A. Whitsett, a National and L.A. Local Board member, took to the mic to greet members, while Austin encouraged members to remain active in their union.

In support of SAG-AFTRA’s continued partnership with The Village Family Services and the AIDS Project Los Angeles, members were able to donate new, unwrapped toys and nonperishable food items to help families in need for the holiday season.
