Members Enjoy Awards in Style

Nearly a thousand SAG-AFTRA members gathered at the Alex Theater in Glendale for the annual SAG Awards Viewing Party on Jan. 21. 

Organized by the Los Angeles Host Committee, this year’s event saw a few new and bubbly surprises, including a cash bar offering the two signature cocktails being served at the Awards — The Dailies and the Hit Your Mark — as well as a complimentary red carpet pop-up makeover station manned by five professional makeup artists from NARS Cosmetics. After a quick spruce up, members enjoyed complimentary popcorn, pictures, sodas and raffles. This year’s prizes included classic SAG-AFTRA swag as well as Alex Theater ticket vouchers and pairs of Alex Film Society tickets, NARS and Recherché Beaute Natural Botanical Skin line makeup kits, gourmet candy gifts from Sugarfina and more. Several gifts were also donated from The Americana at Brand, including a date night package and VIP dining cards. Members lauded this year as the best one yet, leaving quite a challenge for the Host Committee next January.
