Our Hawaii Local continues to grow and thrive. We have had so many members attend and participate in our recent conservatory offerings, background actors forum, committee planning and our SAG Awards viewing event. We are fortunate to have another amazing opportunity to offer you, and it is happening very, very soon...
We are honored to announce that SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland will be our special guest speaker at our upcoming Hawaii Local annual membership meeting on Zoom on Friday, April 26, 4 to 6 p.m. HST! Duncan fought tirelessly as our chief negotiator during the strike and will share updates with all of us about the state of our union.
You will need to register by noon HST on Thursday, April 25. That way, we can make sure we have everyone registered that would like to attend and make the technical aspects of the online meeting move smoothly.
Although, of course, we would all like to meet in person again, as we did last year, an upside of this meeting being virtual is that it allows unlimited participation of our local union from all islands. On behalf of our entire Local Board, we encourage you to attend if possible, especially since neighbor island members won’t need to fly into Oahu for the meeting. We don’t have to pay for a venue, we don't have to worry about parking, we can all Zoom in, even members who may be on the mainland or traveling around the world. Let’s pack the Zoom room!
